Abortion: a tricky, diverse, complicated subject
I have usually tried to stay away from this topic. Not only am I a journalist, I just find this topic very thorny. I feel that with this subject it goes to the ethical question: It depends. I think that with abortion there is a time and place for everything but it doesn't help when people are extreme and don't want to bend the rules for the most severe cases. For me one of the biggest aspects of getting an abortion is the circumstances with which it happened. I think that if you were raped or health to the mother is concerned you should consider an abortion. I think these are viable reasons to consider this. I think that certain aspects of finances should be considered but in the end I think that you should be able to have the baby and then offer it up for adoption. I think that would be a better option for most of those involved.
I think that in the case of adoptions, I think that many people need to rethink the process and the expenses for securing a child. It doesn't make sense to me that it should take so much time and financing to secure something such as a human being that are needing a family and a place to call home. While I have no research on this, I think this is also a very difficult situation with same sex couples. It is a good option and helpful to those children in the system.
