Finished with the prerequisite to start them all
So I finished up with my reporting class about a week and a half ago. While I miss it, I am so glad it is over. Staying in the newsroom from about 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. everyday and then the weekend shifts were brutal. I had a few good occasions where I was really proud of my accomplishments but at others I just felt like, why? I was glad I could expand how I wrote though. It was probably one of the best things that I expanded on within the class. I felt like I at least expected myself to learn how to make alternative writing styles apparent through the semester. It was really hard to get out of a mold that I set for myself but it was worth it when it turned out well. One of the best pieces that I had was a piece on the Show-Me State Games over miniature golf. It was so much fun to write and the guys that were depicted in the article were so much fun. Sometimes the story really does write itself. Now that my reporting class is over, I can now start the rest of my sequence. Up next is intermediate writing. I have no idea what to expect for this class but according to MU grade distribution, my teacher is fairly good and I can possibly get an A this semester. Let's just hope that everything will work out and I can do well and can expand my writing skills even more!
